I am so proud of myself! After a long two year journey I am done with South Hills and have my degree in Business Administration Marketing and Management. Which I have been putting into work ever since starting my internship this past summer for Nordstrom. Now as a full time assistant manager I feel prepared for whatever is thrown at me with my training I recieved at South Hills. I also had to give a speech at the commencement ceremony which was very nerve wracking but I think I had a good message.

Be True To Yourself
If you can't wake up everyday and love what you are doing then why exactly are you doing it? This will be a question I will always ask myself to see if I am staying true to my priorities in life and not getting wrapped up in the idea of what you think you should be doing. It's okay to be different and that is something I am so happy I have finally come to realize. Break the cookie cutter example of what your life path should be and explore your own journey.

Wild Child with a Wild Heart
The newest addition
Life is a whirlwind and that's completely fine for me. I love making the most of a hectic schedule, if there aren't enough hours in a day to get something done it's time to prioritize and realize it is okay to leave dishes in the sink sometimes.
That's how I felt this past week being in a transitional period from driving home, changing positions at work, and preparing for an amazing weekend with a friend who came and visited. This was a really fun and exciting week for me though and I cannot wait to share all my exciting stories from the weekend along with my outfits! This look was to match my wild hair day and heart I was having that day, just feeling a little jungle cat like. This blouse is from Free People and the white crops are from LOFT.

Bohemian Rhapsody
It has been a very warm week so far down here in Philly and it's been challenging to stay out of the heat and stay cool. I was so happy that I received this beautiful Novella Royale Whiskey romper from the wonderful instagram account of Flower Child Style (check them out). This light weight piece is the perfect romper to be able to beat the heat in. I love the 70's feel of Novella's clothes, almost feels like I should've been born in that decade. How are you all staying out of the heat?

Be Confident In Who You Are
Some days try your patients as a human being and I think this is something we can all a test to. Mine have been pushed to the maximum lately but it is safe to say that after a couple mid-graduation breakdowns I have recovered and am feeling my bubbly self again. This is also so important to me because how I feel wears so much on how confident I am in myself and where I am headed in life. So it's safe to say I am back in doing nothing but believing in myself because you never know just how far that might get you.
Today's outfit post reflects the small sliver of sunshine we've been able to enjoy here in Happy Valley. I always dread the rain when it's just starting to get nice out but appreciate in May when everything is in bloom. Today's look is totally ready for spring and could even be polished up for an interview this time of the year!

Petite Problems
I know everyone has issues no matter what type of body you have but petite girls have it hard too. Some people think cause you're so small you shouldn't have anything to complain about but its a struggle to find jeans that are the right length. Also to not wear patterns that are to overbearing they drown your petite little frame.
Today I am showing how to make little legs look longer with a couple helpful styling tips. First off it always helps when petite girls wear a little heel or wedge, it helps pants lay better and gives you an extra little boost of confidence. Then with a nice pair of wedges I decided to go with a grey skinny to help elongate my legs to the slightly over sized sweater.

Have An Open Mind
When you go in to your favorite store the next time you go shopping I encourage you to try the one thing in the store you would never wear, or think you could never pull off. This is something I believe you should do at every store, because I bet 9 times out of 10 you will be surprised with how it actually looks or the fit of it and how it becomes more likable than it appealed on the hanger.
Also have an open mind when thinking about taking a new chance on a look or the way you style an outfit. It takes a lot of confidence to not care what other people think but you will be so much happier if you live this way. To not care what anyone else thinks of you and to not judge anyone else because you wouldn't like to be judged either.
That's how I felt about the sweater I am wearing today but I am so glad I pushed myself to try it on!

You've Got To Free Your Mind
Everyone needs a little bit of a break in the middle of the week, so go out tonight and do something spontaneous. Last night I read this article from Total Frat Move, and was actually surprised with how much I liked it and agreed with most of the things. 67 things I wish I had known at 18 actually enlightening me a little bit to quit worrying so much, even though the stress of school is getting higher with the looming holiday breaks ahead. It's important to always make time for yourself, to always be able to recognize that you need a break, and that you deserve to take it.
My favorites from the list were:
11. Classes can be retaken. Life cannot.
23. Dancing on tables should be reserved for special occasions, like your birthday and Thursday nights.
46. Put down your phone and look around. Life is happening.
53. You never need that last shot of vodka, but take it anyways.
You are young and you will never have this time to cherish again. So screw it go out and buy a new dress to go dance your ass off in tonight. Take risks that you normally wouldn't consider, cause what the hell you can only learn from your mistakes. Life is too short to be taken seriously.
