Grateful

Well it was another great year with it's up and down's of course but there is always so much in life to be grateful for. As Thanksgiving is just two days away I was definitely reflecting on the last year and many things I am thankful for. I learned so much about myself this year and it feels amazing to be proud of myself and the successful young woman I have become. I am so grateful for the experiences and the people I have met down here in Philadelphia, it has definitely become my home. I am even more grateful for realizing which friends from high school and college are real friends who keep in touch and get the rare chance to all reunite in one place a year. My personal life and professional life are definitely things I am thankful for because I have finally found a nice balance between fun and work. Getting a life for myself and not being only focused on work made me so much happier this year and I have to say a great deal of that is do to my boyfriend. Growing up you realize how much the holidays actually matter about who you are with and not what you are getting or going to eat. Little things become so much more important and it's a beautiful thing when you start to realize this. Last but not least I am so thankful I finally turned 21 this year and can

Warm Days Soak Them Up

These last few afternoons have felt so delightful outside you can't help but be happy to see that the sun is shining and it actually feels warm out. It's exciting when your into fall but you can still peel off layers because I know this won't last for much longer. I had fun playing with neutrals on this look, a nice fall outfit but appropriate for a 70 degree afternoon out. I am getting so excited for Halloween next week. I got to carve a pumpkin this week at my moms house when I went to visit to give a speech at my old university South Hills. It was a great time but now back to the city life to keep on keeping on.

From work to play

We all have those days where work and happy hour just go hand in hand, so you have to be dressed for both occasions.  I fell in love with this retro shift dress by French Connection. I royal blue color and peonies against the white stripes. Paired with a favorite oldie but goodie by Jeffery Campbell Canal heel it was a elegant but fun look. It is so important to be able to leave work at work and to leave things going on outside of work at the door, life is so much simpler. Also just being able to have a positive out take no matter the situation you are in. If you aren't grateful for things in life you will never see the brighter side of things.

Feeling like a #GIRLBOSS

We all have that one professional look that makes us feel unstoppable at the office. Mine happens to be this little black dress by Nicole Miller. I can throw this on for just about any work occasion and I know I will nail the meeting, interview, or event. The confidence I get when I put this dress on with the right pair of heels is incomparable to any other work outfit. It's great when a simple dress can give you the feeling of knowing you can do anything, just that right dose of self assurance. For the holiday weekend I decided to throw on my new favorite Fendi heels that I scored on designer clearance at Nordstrom. These blue, red and white heels were the perfect pop of color to this LBD. Have a great holiday weekend!!
