His & Her's Going Out Look

You may find this as a surprise but for a twenty-three year old I don't love going out all that much but boy do I love to get dressed for it! I don't know if I got my fill of going out growing up in a college town or  if I'm just more content now with Netflix and chilling with the dog, & Spencer for a night in. On the rare occasion we do go out on the weekend but have majorly scaled back since we want to save up for a house!

In the fall it's so hard to get the right balance of sleeves and jeans but still looking cute and not wanting to let go of the beautiful summer months we just enjoyed. We all know it's cold outside and then burning hot inside a bar, not a fun struggle. That is why I absolutely adore this Free People scoop back seamless top! I own it in multiple colors cause it is the perfect top for fall and winter going out. They made it into a bodysuit this year but still perfect for this look and available for only $58, buy here. My dark wash skinnies are also from Free People still available for $78, buy here. Now let me apologize in advance for how much you are going to see these Stuart Weitzman Elevated over the knee boot in my blog this coming winter. I am going to live in these boots they are so comfortable and were the most gracious gift from my boss. They were sold out during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale but recently became available again through Nordstrom, link here.

I wanted to share a men's going out look too because it's something I've never done before on Carlita's Closet! I knew we were good together when I found out he likes to dress up as much as I do. In this post his shirt is 7 Diamonds, burgundy pants Bonobos, and the boots are Magnanni. The styles were all purchased at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, but are all sold out. Will find links to like items this week!

Similar Men's Boot but plain style available at Nordstrom:

Fringe Benefits

It is always important to start the week off on a positive note. Whether I have Sunday off or Monday off I take advantage of that time to recollect myself from the weekend and get a plan for the next week to come. I've said it once before since moving but I will say it again I am just so inspired right now to follow my dreams and really just go with my gut instincts, I can feel new exciting things on the horizons.
Getting back to my true bohemian style this outfit is one of my favorite summer time work then do something fun with friends after. The fringe and crochet details on this shirt have always attracted me to it and is able to be styled many ways for different seasons. My skirt is a great basic from American Apparel. These wedges are from Nordstrom Rack last summer but are still so perfect for work in the summer. The apartment is finally getting pretty put together and decorated throughout! Can't wait to share pictures.

Midi Obsessed

Last post from the old place and can't wait to show off my new one! Today is a good day I am feeling very inspired to go after things I want this weekend, like anything I want even that dream job. But I am keeping it short and sweet today to just talk about how obsessed I am with this midi skirt I scored from Nordstrom Rack! It was only $12.97 and can either be a midi skirt, tube dress, or maxi skirt depending on how you style it. I loved how it went with my Jeffery Campbell heels and Free People shirt.

Feeling Fringey

Fringe benefits are some of the best kind of bohemian accents to add to any outfit. I love embracing my inner gypsy and feel as though fringe definitely helps that. I got this Aztec kimono from Same Old Chic, if you have never heard of this site or the Style Playlist than you are missing out. Courtney takes the time to find awesome one of a kind pieces to sell on this site, and watch out cause they do go fast. One of my favorite basic black dresses was only $9.97 from Nordstrom Rack. To top this look off I added my new favorite statement piece necklace from Lost Lover Australia. One of my favorite parts about blogging is being able to share with my readers all the little boutiques, online shops, and people who inspire me. I hope I have inspired you all a little bit this Monday.

Happy Monday

Good morning! This month I made a few commitments to myself for the new year but want to take it month by month. For January it was to try something new, save up money for a trip to Ecuador in the spring, and go to at least three yoga classes. I am proud to save I have successfully completed two out of three of these tasks. I've been going to Yoga on the Ridge in Manayunk it's very convenient to where my apartment is. Then I also recently went to a sushi restaurant on Samson and 20th called Vic's Sushi and it was the first time I had real, fresh rolled sushi. It was so delicious and highly recommended. Now I just need to work on saving up more!!

I am also staying very true to my bohemian style when I'm not all #GIRLBOSS up for work. My love for Free People is becoming unhealthy but is an addiction most of my friends support haha. I also love trying different looks that can transition from work to play like the one above. This is an Aztec print dress from Pac Sun I scored this summer on super sale. Then I just threw one of my favorite Free People sweaters over it which I got from Nordstrom Rack. Topping the outfit off with details I am in love with this new Marimo moss and twig necklace. This piece is so unique it's always a conversation starter.
