Transitioning Into Fall

I know, I know I am not ready to admit it either but I have to admit the sweaters in my wardrobe are looking mighty comfy. Summer is going by in a flash this year but I am already pinning away with inspiration for my fall 2014 wardrobe. I'd like to keep it short and sweet today but share with you these few images I have been collecting, and new trends I am dying to try this fall. I love getting inspired from Pinterest.

Not Sure Where You're Going

Just like some days when you get up and you have absolutely no idea what you want to wear or what life will hold for you that day, sometimes you're just not sure where you are going. Such is life sometimes especially when you're coming to a crossroads in life, like the major turning point of graduating from college. So you're an adult now...what's next?

I believe it is OKAY if you don't have the answer to this. Not only is it intimidating to think about being all on your own and getting a real job to pay for bills and rent but it's all around a transitional period of your life from partying every weekend to getting more serious. Who wants to do that? Well it doesn't necessarily need to happen like that but it is a big difference than most of us are used to.

Embrace it, push yourself out into reality and don't be afraid to get hurt and screw up. Failure is going to happen in your life and if you can push passed it and deal with those issues to try again you will become even stronger. Don't ever be afraid to follow your dreams even if people say you are crazy, because anything can happen!

All I know is where ever I chose to go, I'm taking my pup with me.

Well I keep up with lots of blogs now that I've found myself deeply involved in the blogsphere (blogger atmosphere). But there's a few fashion bloggers that are my absolute favorites to keep up on. They give me the biggest inspiration and motivation to continue blogging and following my passions while taking risks.

What Courtney Wore 

Courtney Kerr is a 31 year old Dallas fashion blogger that left a stable corporate job to pursue her love of clothes. I'm obsessed with her and am so glad she's finally got a series on Bravo. She is such a quirky, fun person that this definitely comes out in the creative flow of her posts. Not to mention shes one of my biggest inspirations because she's always encouraging others to take risks in life!

It's a positive way to start the week!  

To Infinity And Beyond

A fall trend that I don't see going anywhere for seasons to come is the infinity scarf. It's a simple, comfortable, stylish piece that can be added to almost any fall outfit. Not only is it practical for the freezing bitterness of the winter season to come but it's adorable!

My particular taste prefers the giant, knitted infinity scarf that can feel like a soft pillow sitting around your neck all day. Although printed and skinnier infinity scarfs can be stylish and a bit more decorative they just don't have the same comfort level. It took me a while to find the perfect knit scarf but finally last fall at Connections, a local boutique, I found the perfect one and it was affordable. It was basically my trusty side kick all winter, accompanying me from late nights with friends to early mornings walking to class. I love this scarf so much that in the spring during one of Connections sales I bought another one in a different color (one of my better life decisions).

I feel like I can go anywhere with this scarf. 

Pinspiration

Most of my outfit inspirations lately have come from Pinterest. If you're not already addicted to this site you must sign up today. Not only is it super helpful for outfit, hair, makeup and body tips but just about anything else you can think of too! Everyone can find a board the become utterly obsessed with. Mine just happens to be titled addicted and of course is dedicated to clothes. 

A favorite fall go to. 

It's been so helpful with styling ideas, it can truly show you how to put something together you never would've thought of. Especially with the new trend of mixing patterns, this has to be done tastefully. It shows you that every girl can be put together and cute without putting a lot of extra effort in. A little layering or that extra piece of jewelry can really pull the entire outfit together.

Now is the time to start caring, the better you feel about yourself the more it will show. As a young woman getting ready to enter the real world I feel it's very important to start reflecting myself in a way I will look back and be proud of. I've come so far in the last year since graduating from high school I really think my style displays how my maturity has grown with me. However, always stay true to your core values and let that reflect through your style as well. Don't compromise yourself to be the cookie cutter image you think you should be. Instead break that mold and add your own personal flare to your favorite classic looks.
