Life is made of the moments we least expect, learning from mistakes, and taking on the rollercoaster of the world we live in today. This week was a time for me to really reflect on the important things in life and to not stress over the little things, or anything if possible. It is so hard to not forget this in a world of constant pressure and standards we are held to. My advice for you this Friday is to break free from all that and truly listen to what makes you happy. If what makes you happy is a little unconventional that's okay and that is something I think we often forget in a world where it seems everyone is just trying to blend in. I wanna stand out, how about you?

I don't know about you guys but I am that girl who is always carry the biggest purse in her closet. My bag is always filled with things for those just-in-case moments. Whether it's a couple band aids to fix that blister those new shoes are giving you or an extra mint for a girlfriend in need at the perfect time. I was so happy when I was approached by Rue La La to do a post about exactly what I carry in my bag!
The handbag I chose for this post is the Free People Vegan Leather tote. At an amazing price for $68 this bag really has a lot to offer. Being reversible makes it two bags in one and it has two awesome pockets for key purse organization.

I haven't done a DIY post in a while so thought I would get started with the holiday season coming upon us. For the month of November each year, now for the last three, I have created a thankful tree. This is something I usually do at home with my mom and stepdad but living on my own for the first time this year I also wanted to continue the tradition. I hope you enjoy the progression of my tree!
I also am planning on decorating for Christmas and having some great DIY gift and gift wrapping posts. So if there is anything in particular you would like to see please let me know! I am going to Pinterest for all my inspiration.

Socks are a girls best friend when temperatures start to hit below freezing. I can still look cute occasionally by roughing it in a dress or skirt combination with the help of a nice pair of tights and of course some cozy socks. Free People, Target, and the Sundance Catalog are just a few of my favorite places to buy socks.

Caught in my skivvies this week. I just had to share the beauty of this top/bralette. Depending on where I'm headed I would wear this as a crop top with high waisted jeans or underneath a sheer blouse that would still show off all the wonderful details. For Love and Lemons is a brand I have been admiring for months but just haven't gotten myself to by any of their pricey, delicate garments until last week. I just couldn't resist with this top and now have my eyes on the perfect new years eve gown by For Love and Lemons.

Something I can't get enough of lately is change. Whether it is in my diet, outfit choices, or with my look I've been having a blast trying new things. When I over came the fear and resistance to change it's nice to be able to just roll with the punches and realize not everything is in your control and that's okay.
Fall has officially set in and it almost feels like it could snow soon! This is something I am coming to terms with but don't know how I will feel the first time I actually see snow on the ground this year. With the temperatures dropping that means the layers are adding on.Today's casual look is very bohemian inspired.
