Feeling like a #GIRLBOSS

We all have that one professional look that makes us feel unstoppable at the office. Mine happens to be this little black dress by Nicole Miller. I can throw this on for just about any work occasion and I know I will nail the meeting, interview, or event. The confidence I get when I put this dress on with the right pair of heels is incomparable to any other work outfit. It's great when a simple dress can give you the feeling of knowing you can do anything, just that right dose of self assurance. For the holiday weekend I decided to throw on my new favorite Fendi heels that I scored on designer clearance at Nordstrom. These blue, red and white heels were the perfect pop of color to this LBD. Have a great holiday weekend!!

Pool Day Look

My days off are usually spent doing errands or running around for some reason, but when I get the chance I make them all about relaxing and getting some sun. Yesterday was one of those amazing days I was able to do anything I please and that included lots of hanging by the pool and giving myself some me time. I am still reading the book "Not that kind of Girl" by Lena Dunham and it is such a good summer read. This playsuit I am sporting is from Sabo Skirt and it's the first time I've been able to rock it this summer, and I love it. Perfect for an afternoon by the pool or a night out with the girls. My bathing suit is from Free People a few seasons ago but is still one of my favorite bandeau suits. The fedora is from Connections in State College and is by Susan Joy. I am getting ready for the holiday weekend but not sure what my plans will be yet! Do you have any plans for the weekend yet babes??

DIY Apartment Crafts

Well I can finally say we are getting settled in our new place and it feels like a nice home. We have had a few chances to put our personal touch around the pad with different DIY things and our favorite decorative pieces we couldn't resist. The top picture is my bedroom with all my pictures and Free People wall display that completes any room. We've been experimenting with different uses of wine bottles, like the decorated ones on our dining room table and the one filled with lights. We added some fringe to the bottom of the lamp to make it retro inspired. We also decorated a cork board with LC Trap House the name of our place to put photos and messages. Also in our dining room we have this awesome palm tree, so we threw some Christmas lights on it. Over all the trap house has a great positive vibe. We are going to be creating this awesome drift wood table that will be another DIY post! Have a great hump day!

Change is always good

Well I've said it before and I'll say it again the only way to start things out completely fresh and new is with a good change to your life. Whether that's a look change, lifestyle change or a perspective change it is something that is necessary every once in a while. For me I just needed a quick hair change to feel fresh for the new season. I am so happy with this new do and think it has given me refound confidence. It was also too nice to be off and have the chance to go home and visit friends and family. This outfit was the perfect summer day off look. These shorts are my favorite purchase from Connections in State College and will be a summer staple.

Sunshine on a Rainy Day

With what seems like never ending off and on again rain storms it has been difficult to plan outfits for certain days. Especially with all the humidity we get down here in Philly, makes it impossible to enjoy anything outside not by water. So I decided sometimes you need to be the ray of sunshine on a rainy day and not only in your outfit but in your attitude too. I am a firm believer that what you put out in the universe comes back to you and if  you aren't putting positive thoughts out there then nothing positive will come your way. Always believe in yourself even when you're most down, know that things can't get any worse and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This look is a great go to for wearing to work and then to drinks with the girls after because all you have to do is lose the blazer. My skirt is from Bebe and the shirt and blazer on sale from LOFT.
