This past weekend was rather dreary down here in Philly. So I took advantage of making the most of things inside and cleaning up the apartment before going away for the first time for more than a couple of days. I also embraced the blue tones with this awesome printed maxi skirt I scored from TJ Maxx.

Tuesday Shoesday

Who doesn't love a good pair of shoes? Especially since that's what Tuesday's on Instagram have become all about. Today I am sharing my first ever real designer purchase and graduation present to myself. A pair of purple tribute Yves Saint Laurent sandals. When I saw this color I just absolutely fell in love and knew they had to be added to the closet.

Beach Fever

I am so ready to sail away in a week to go to gorgeous Bermuda!! I have already started to pack I am so excited and that is very unusual for me. I am going to share with you a couple of the things that will make this cruise complete as far as my style goes. I am so excited to get to just relax for five days, eat some amazing food, and enjoy the white sand beaches of Bermuda (also the 18 year drinking age, holla).

Be True To Yourself

If you can't wake up everyday and love what you are doing then why exactly are you doing it? This will be a question I will always ask myself to see if I am staying true to my priorities in life and not getting wrapped up in the idea of what you think you should be doing. It's okay to be different and that is something I am so happy I have finally come to realize. Break the cookie cutter example of what your life path should be and explore your own journey. 

Ring Obsession

I love my arm candy and am getting a pretty hefty ring collection. I feel naked for a day when I leave the house without my rings. If I had to pick a favorite piece of jewelry it would be impossible from rings given to me from my grandmother, to pieces picked up at arts festivals around Pennsylvania. I love having a story behind a ring too like remembering the vacation I was on when I purchased it or the special day I had when the gift was given to me.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope this school year is off to a great start for everyone and getting back into a routine hasn't been too much of a hassle.   As for me it's been a whole new ball game this year getting used to just balancing work full time, living in a new place, and being done with school for the first time in my life. Keeping it short and sweet again I just wanted to share with you another twist on modern business casual. I love that business professional and business casual standards have changed so much especially for women in the last 5 years.  It gives you so much more freedom to build your wardrobe around pieces you can wear to work and transition into a nice night out with girlfriends or  a flirty date night while still looking appropriate. 

Wildfox Fall Collection

Short and sweet for this Friday post about one of my favorite fall collections. The Wildfox Fall 2014 look book is to die for and I want everything down from the cozy sweaters to the Hunter boots which I used to find hideous. There is something so chic about fashion from the UK and Europe, always ahead of the US it's amazing for inspiration and makes me want to travel! Want gets you all excited about your passions??

Boutique of the Week

This is a new post I am going to try to post at least twice a month throughout the fall to showcase different stores I have fallen in love with around Philadelphia. I love supporting the shop local movement it is so important to support small business.

The first shop is Green Street consignment which is an awesome chain of stores down in the Philadelphia area. The one on Main Street in Manayunk is the one I go to being so conveniently close. It always has an excellent selection of that seasons merchandise with great brands! This boutique is not only adorable but very affordable for good quality items.

YAY! I did it I have successfully been blogging now for one whole year and am so happy that I have stayed up with this awesome new hobby. To be able to connect with others around the country and globe about something you're truly passionate about is eye opening.
