Daily Adventures

One thing that is so important to remember in life no matter how busy you get is there is always something new to be discovered. Whether it is right in your own town or a little day drive away its always worth the trip to see something or some place new. This week I had my step dad come visit me in philly and it was so much fun to show him around and explore the city a little more than usual. We also took a day trip to cape may to hunt for Quartz on the beach we had some decent success. The most exciting find though was this ancient piece of drift wood we dug out of the sand from being wedged between two giant rocks, can't wait to make it into something for my apartment.

Shoesday Tuesday

Give a girl the right shoes and she will conquer the world. A quote that I firmly believe in because a good outfit is always topped off with what shoes you wear and how you accessorize. I am trying to get my use out of all my boots while it's still winter but calm enough weather that salted sidewalks won't ruin the suede or leather. Today's look is a shift dress from Ann Taylor LOFT paired with other grey tones for a monochromatic look. The boots are Jimmy Choo biker boots. Happy Tuesday!

Wild Thing

I've missed using animal print in my wardrobing this winter. I love how leopard, cheetah, and zebra striped scarves and clothing can really liven up an outfit or look. Not to mention how it gets me excited and feeling a little on the wild side of things. I hate how winter months not only make me feel lazy but also play it safe with my outfits and styling cause it's too cold to take risks. It's much easier to just throw on a sweater and leggings and be done with it. I'm committing to getting back to pushing myself outside of the box with my styling ideas. Especially with all this fashion week inspiration from London and Milan getting me excited for next AW15.

Layer Up

I cannot stand when it is so cold out you have to wear at least five layers to feel semi comfortable anywhere. I am officially over winter and ready for spring time to come. I cannot wait to break out all my dresses, strappy intimates, and put the boots back in there boxes. I wanted to be comfortable at work but still put together wearing so many layers. I played with different button ups under this Free People sweater and really liked the way this blouse laid underneath it. It's hard to not get too bulky of a combination when wearing heavy layers on such a petite frame but I think I finally found a nice balance. The skirt is from American Apparel a great basic with the Frye Patty bootie.
