"Snowed In"

Baby it's cold outside and oh do I love staying inside. I was pretty upset with the lack of snow Philadelphia got after all the hype last weekend about Winter Storm Juno. However, maybe this weekend will bring some flurries that I expected. If it's going to be so cold out might as well be pretty and white too. I was thankful for my couple days off this week to just relax and stay at home though, nothing better than wine and Netflix to pass the day by. Also being blessed with two of the best snuggle bugs is wonderful, Bruiser and Burrito love snow days too.

Spring 2015 Wish list

This is just a start but definitely three of my Spring 2015 must haves. Starting off with the Potpouri Dress by For Love and Lemons, god something that could be so elegant for work but then also sexy for a night out with friends. Retailing for $261 it isn't going to break the bank either.

Next, to add to my statement collar collection I am adorning over this currently sold out piece by Natalie B. Jewelry. I have found so many great jewelry makers through Instagram and Etsy. This gorgeous necklace is made of malachite plates and is $121.

Last, but certainly not least, I need the Whitney Bra from Free People. I could probably own it in multiple colors too being so practical for spring/summer months and only $20!!

It Ain't Laurent without Yves

Wanted to post this for a Tuesday Shoesday but oh well fabulous shoes can be worn any day of the week. This whole look was very YSL inspired being in all black and their famous Tribute sandal. I love transitioning spring/summer looks into winter with the right layers. So I love the trend of now wearing socks or tights with summer shoes. Keeping it short and sweet today, we're half way through the week!

Just the Little Things

One thing I have noticed in this crazy, adult life I find myself living in so suddenly is that it is hard not to get wrapped up in work drama and unnecessary gossip. I miss the days when the biggest worry was getting to class on time, or where we were going to go eat for lunch that day. So this is why I am now making it a commitment to myself to appreciate the little things in life and to take more time to "smell the roses".  I love how the littlest things can make your day flip completely around. For example a simple, genuine compliment from someone or a nice gesture like someone buying you a cup of coffee. So remember to take time this week to be grateful and to appreciate all the little things.

Free People Display Dress Giveaway

Ahh I was so excited when I found out I had won this amazing Instagram contest. I was also very thankful for my new home Philadelphia because I was able to pick it up right away at the Walnut Street. God that store is just so beautiful I was shocked I didn't spend my whole pay check picking up my free dress. However , I had very good self restraint dreaming of the jungle of Ecuador.

I'll Be the King of Me

Feeling extra business professional today with my cute, casual, work look. A little equestrian inspired with a touch a femininity. I don' t know what I would do without these Jeffery Campbell Joe Lace-up boots. They just go with everything and are the perfect boot for work, going out with friends, or an afternoon of errands. The top and blazer are both from Ann Taylor LOFT found on sale. My black dress pants are Banana Republic.

Vintage Finds

More like vintage hand me downs and one that I am absolutely obsessed with. This Pendleton coat was given to my mom by my stepdad's mom. Luckily it was a bit too small for my mom so I was next in line. The colors are so perfect in this wool coat and it keeps you so warm. Well keeping it short and sweet today, have a wonderful day everyone!

OMG Shoes

We all remember that YouTube video from back in middle school days. But this is kind of how I feel wry day when I go into work in the shoe department at Nordstrom. There are just so many shoes to choose from. In the past I couldn't imagine spending more than a couple hundred on a nice pair of boots let alone $500-$800 for a nice heel. However, now I can appreciate the quality that comes from a well made shoe. Like these beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo boots I got for Christmas. I loved this look with the coarse evergreen suede boots matching the green faux fur Topshop vest. I also haven't worn a turtle neck in years but really liked this light weight one from Forever21.
