Feeling Like Summertime

I am so happy the weather has finally decided to give the winter a final goodbye and skipped straight to summer. My wardrobe can agree to this change because I am finally able to break out all my shorts and dresses I've been dying to wear again!

I am feeling less stressed too with this weather being better, it seems to help me prioritize because I am trying to get myself some free time to actually enjoy it. Being in a two-year program I am unfortunately still in classes but am happy most of my friends are returning home for the summer before I leave.

Today's look was perfect for a chilly morning that transitioned into a hot afternoon. I am absolutely in love with these floral shorts that look like a skirt from a local boutique, Connections. This crochet sweater I scored on sale at Free People, to go with a strappy back bra from there I got for my birthday. Also these black gladiator sandals from LOFT are going to be a favorite pair for the summer I can tell already.

Less Is More

I am sorry for the lack of content in my posts lately but life has just been so crazy! I'm sure you can all understand as you're getting ready to finish up classes yourself. It's extra hard this semester for me because it is my last, so the work has piled itself on and I'm trying to keep my priorities straight. Which can be a little hard when you live in such a party town.

Today's look is showing my tribal side, one I show often but I was too excited about scoring these new jeans. They're from the LOFT. Also today I got my license photo retaken and was so happy I had a tanned, happy face to flatter my ID for the next four years.

Philly Bound

Well the count down has officially begun in 30 short days I will be moving to the city of Philadelphia! I am so excited to start my adult life in the city of brotherly love. I feel so blessed to be starting out the journey with my internship with Nordstrom. The reality of actually moving away from home for the first time is settling in, and I cannot wait to begin my new chapter down there!

Summer Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! Today I am just sharing some of my favorite images I've been collecting from Pinterest to inspire my summer time wardrobe. Bombarded today with full classes, lots of work to get done for my business plan, and work I felt as though a short and sweet post would be perfectly appropriate. Hope you get excited for the upcoming season as much as I did scrolling through these images!

Kentucky Derby Style

Well this weekend I attended a formal that was Kentucky Derby themed and I was so excited to try to create a look for this! Also was a great excuse to wear my favorite floppy hat for this summer, that is a bit obnoxious it's so big but I love it.

I decided to go with a nude and black classic color theme for the outfit. After having the hat checked off the list next was the perfect dress, which happened to be sitting in my closet. I've been dying to wear this Free People dress but always felt it was too fancy for just a night out. I love the beading detail that lines the open back and comes up over the shoulder!

Nasty Gals Do It Better; Round 2

I've said it before and I'll say it again Nasty Gals Do It Better because everything from their site is absolutely magical. I cannot wait to receive my copy of Sophia Amoruso's #GIRLBOSS book, it's still availble for preorder on the site here! She is honestly one of the most influential woman entrepreneurs that I personally look up to.

Dreary, rain filled days here in good ol' Happy Valley have led to a drained feeling of never wanting to leave bed. However, life must go on and might as well make the best of these last few chilly rains before summer comes to swelter our hearts away. My mood was lifted slightly by the arrival of my Nasty Gal Floral Camo Overalls. I couldn't wait to style these for an easy day running around look. How would you play with these awesome overalls?

Festival Season MUST HAVES

Well I have no plans to attend any more festivals this season after my adventure to Ultra in March. But let me tell you these are the items I would be purchasing if I was getting the honor to attend any festivals like Bonnaroo, Firefly, or All Good Festival just to name a few I wish I was attending.

Perfect Flower Child Pants

These JUNO BELLS are designed by Lux-Divine Clothing. They also have some killer jewelry pieces for you bohemian lovers. Lux-Divine is a new brand that I found on Instagram and have just absolutely fallen in love with their hippie style. Although these babies are pricey ($180) I bet they are worth every penny.

Desert Wanderer Playsuit
Arguably the most perfect festival romper that was ever created. And after being sported by Vanessa Hudgens, and many other fashionistas, at Cochella it has gained major popularity. This dream is available at Spell Byron Bay

A Vintage Tee

A simple, soft tee to compliment any shorts or overall combination. Who doesn't look to be comfy and sport a favorite brand or band. Check out more of these vintage Harley Davidson tee's at DUCKaandCOVER etsy shop.

Fringe Clutch
No festival look is complete without the perfect bag to hold all your little necessities like chap stick, hand sanitizer, and your portable phone charger. This Kivari label Arrow Love Clutch is absolutely adorable and the perfect size to carry around a festival.
