Staying Dry > Not Wearing Appropriate Rain Attire

So this may be my little motherly instinct coming out but I cannot stand when I see girls walking around the streets of downtown unprepared for such a rain filled day in State College. Are you trying to get pneumonia honey? Really I think rain clothes can be pretty cute and unique if you find the right ones! My next pair of rain boots will definitely be Hunter's I've heard they're the best for these dreary days, but for now my TJ Maxx rain boots will do. Also when it rains I have the pleasure of matching my car in color because I am gravitated towards neon green (I had the jacket before I had the jeep).

Feeling Floral

Love this little lady, my niece always likes to join for a photo shoot.

Well I just absolutely am obsessed with harem pants and think every girl should invest in a pair! Who doesn't want to look adorable while feel like wearing pajamas? This has got to be one of my favorite trends of the season. Especially the versatility of the got me twisted harem pants from Free People. The weather has been dipping back and forth from feeling like spring in Central PA to still feeling chilling remains of winter.

Be Confident In Who You Are

Some days try your patients as a human being and I think this is something we can all a test to. Mine have been pushed to the maximum lately but it is safe to say that after a couple mid-graduation breakdowns I have recovered and am feeling my bubbly self again. This is also so important to me because how I feel wears so much on how confident I am in myself and where I am headed in life. So it's safe to say I am back in doing nothing but believing in myself because you never know just how far that might get you.

Today's outfit post reflects the small sliver of sunshine we've been able to enjoy here in Happy Valley. I always dread the rain when it's just starting to get nice out but appreciate in May when everything is in bloom. Today's look is totally ready for spring and could even be polished up for an interview this time of the year!

This Months Love In A Box

I 'm back!! After a very stressful week of my computer getting a virus and getting my life in order to move in 6 weeks I was so happy to receive this months love in a box from my partner Jasmine. Jasmine writes the blog Green Eyed Monster which focuses on beauty and skincare. I absolutely love how Jasmine chose her URL to be the Latin translation of "pale beauty", http://www.formosacandidus.blogspot.com

The items I received were so awesome and will definitely help me transition into summer with my looks! The theme was spring has sprung and I think the scarf I got from Francesca's is a perfect colors to represent spring. Also I am most excited about the tools and love in rio pallet I got to do a smokey eye, cannot wait to do a post on this! Some Burt's Bees, Essence nail polish and some No. 7 Beautiful Skin completed my awesome package.

A little something more about Jasmine that you might not know is she is very serious about protecting your skin, as many people she knows have gone through having skin cancer. People forget how serious of a thing it is to put on sunscreen when out in the sun all day even if it doesn't feel like it could burn you. Learn more about safe sun here

How To Dress In Bipolar Weather

Well the joys of living in wonderful State College the weather has decided again to take a toll back to the cold side just when I got my hopes up that spring was here to stay. But I am making the best of it and waiting it out till it warms up again! Having to stay warm in the spring involves lots of layers because you never know when the sun may peak out behind those clouds.

Today I played with the VSCOcam app on my iPhone for the pictures. It's become one of my favorite photo editors and it's free! Check it out at the app store today.

Wildflower

Inspired post by my favorite Tom Petty Song, WildFlowers. Such an amazing tune and the perfect pick me up on a sunny spring afternoon. My mood has definitely been a direct reflection of the weather here last week, it was amazing. I am trying to not get too stressed in my last couple months of college classes, living at home, and getting ready to move my entire life to Philadelphia.

I have been trying to keep getting ready to an easy task with little effort in my outfits lately, but still trying to look put together. Today I tried a plain look and dressed it up with a statement necklace from Gypsy Warrior. How do you balance your life when feeling a little stressed?

Paisley Print Pants Make Any Day Better

It is finally feeling like spring!! I could not be more excited to be able to start putting away some of my winter wardrobe for this warmer weather. Coming back from Florida a couple weeks ago was like torture when it had be sprinkling snow a day before still in State College. However, I think those frigid days are behind us and I can finally enjoy some crop tops and bright colors!

Today I am breaking out an old favorite with these paisley print pants from LOFT. I absolutely love these because you can look so put together but it feels like you are wearing pajamas. These pants are also the perfect mix of colors for me because I have so much that can go with the blue, green, and yellow combo.

This look includes:
Pants- LOFT
Shirt- Free People

Aries Child

I got to celebrate my 20th birthday over the weekend! It was such a fun time to let loose with good friends and enjoy time with my family. Thank goodness I have wonderful co-workers who made working on my birthday a fun time. I have always been a very mature teenager so it's nice to finally not be labeled as one.

I was able to go to the amazing DJ R3HAB Sunday night on my birthday at the Levels nightclub in State College. I enjoy nothing more than being able to dance the night away with good people. It was almost like a mini flashback to Ultra last weekend, which was much needed since I've been missing paradise. Also soooo exciting I traded a kandi bracelet that said Carlita's Closet with R3HAB and he favorited my tweet after the show!!!!

I Could Be A Florida Native

Well I am even more excited to graduate in September now because I am becoming aware after that I will be able to go any where I please and start my adult life. Right now Florida seems to be calling my name I am very interested in living down there. However, I understand there is a difficulty when you live in a spring break destination. It's easy to loose track of your priorities and get caught up in the salt life of the beach. If I could handle growing up with Penn State University as an influence I think I would be able to handle the stress of balancing life at the beach.

My cousin Hailey is taunting me by posting pictures of the beach and saying she misses me, I cannot wait till I can tell her I am coming down there to join her permanently.

These Free People harem pants made the absolute best beach outfit!

Free People seemed to love my beach look as well :)

Take Me Back

Well it's safe to say I will gladly go back to Florida and Ultra any day compared to good old Pennsylvania. I am such a beach girl I really think I need to live closer to one. My adventures last week were so fun and filled with sunny days and warm late nights. It's still spring break season so Florida was as crazy as always, especially in Miami with music week going on.

I was so blessed to have the opportunity to attend one of the best music festivals in the world and do so to the beat of my own drum. Being alone I was able to go which ever stage I pleased and see all the artist that were on my list of must see's. I have to say the best acts I personally saw were Diplo, Kaskade, Krewella, Dirtyphonics, and Rebecca & Fiona. The people in Miami are some of the most entertaining people I have ever met. I can't believe life is so open and different down there compared to the culture I am used to up north.

Rocked my tribal threadz bamba blue snap back!

I was relieved to come home in one piece and show myself I can handle the stress of traveling, being in huge crowds, and not always having control of the situation you are in but making the most of it. Also I found one of my favorite quotes down at the beach that explains exactly why I would want to live there.

Ultramazing

So I survived the big city of Miami and flying for the first time by myself. It was such an amazing and life changing experience I am so happy I took the time off to do it. I really proved to myself that my fear of being alone isn't that bad, I think I'll be able to do just fine this summer in Philadelphia.

Ultra was such a beautiful experience I would definitely go back someday but next time I would want to go with some close friends. However, being alone I had the chance to explore everything I wanted to and meet so many new interesting people. I traded kandi with Carlita's Closet on it and handed out many businesses cards. This post is to help me reconnect with anyone I may have met at the festival! Here's a short list of some of the people I met in passes and at shows:
Girl I met by Kaskade and friend gave card to
Asian boys at the world wide stage
Girl at chainsmokers
Lots of men in headdresses
Everyone who pregamed at the Double Tree with us
I am blessed to have been able to share the weekend with such beautiful people.

I especially want to reconnect with this beautiful man I met at Krewella on Saturday!
